Recycling for Charity sponsered and presented a lecture with the coordination of the Youth Centers of the General Organization of Youth & Sports in Bahrain National Stadium conference hall under the name of “Yes, You Can”. The lecture consists of information about facts and numbers of waste in Bahrain, current waste scenario, solutions highlights by recycling, and finally; Recycling for Charity as a subject of methodologies and achievements since the start up in March 2009.

Location: New York Institute of Technology.
Details: NYIT launches Recycling for Charity initiative on July 12, 2009. Present at the ceremony were Dr. Dottie Lewis, Campus Dean; Mr. Reg Braggs, Dean of Students; Mr. Ahmed Al A’ali, COO, Recycling for Charity and a host of NYIT faculty, staff and students. NYIT is the first university in Bahrain to start the Recycling for Charity program.

Location: Ahmed Al Omran Secondary Boys School.
Details: Ahmed Al Omran school held a seminar in the school to educate the teachers and the parents about the importance of recycling. The seminar was the initiative of the school’s program to go green.
