Stamps – Can it be recycled?

March 1st, 2009 @ // No Comments

Yes, you can … If they are still attached to envelopes, stamps can be recycled with the rest of your paper. Or you can collect stamps for charities.

How should I recycle stamps?

If you want to recycle your stamps for charity: find a local stamp collection scheme, at a school, supermarket or community center.

  • Save all of your stamps, especially commemorative and foreign stamps.
  • Cut around the stamps, leaving a 5mm border.
  • Separate stamps if you can, into Bahrain and foreign boxes.

Charity schemes

Charities sell the stamps to dealers (per kilo) and use the money to fund their projects. Many charities will be glad to receive your stamps.
